Sometimes the liftgate will not close with a push of either button. It give one beep when you push the button, but no movement. After you push it closed, everything goes back to normal.

You have to get the gate open. Once open, The strike plate (where the locking mechanism hits) is bolted to the jamb. Loosen the bolts and slightly move it toward the rear of the vehicle.
