WebTurns out, by the time I made it to the ER, I was septic. I was diagnosed with a perianal abscess and was waiting for CT scan results to come back. My abscess was 6 cm long, and they kept me overnight at the hospital. I had surgery the next morning for a fistulectomy (not fistulotomy) and I’m guessing to drain the abscess.
