My DSpeaker ANtimode 8033 is an automated dsp eq unit for subwoofers only. It equalizes one or more subs together, and can do so for multiple listening positions. The Norwegian Hi-Fi Magazine (Lyd & Bilde) did a test with the new SVS SB-16 and the Sub2 from Arendal and the AS outperformed the SVS in dynamics and speed.

I would guess that the SB16 has a bit more output at 25-40Hz, with the 1723 2S having a bit more output at 50Hz and above. Both are fine subs no doubt.
